CORA since 1981

CORA since 1981

PASSION AND ETHICS
EVOLUTION AND EXPERIENCE

CORA was born in 1981 thanks to the intuition and courage, to the innovative spirit but also to the farsighted vision of two young technicians, Mauro Raos and Gianni Conti. It was born with innovative spirit, but also with a clear vision and forward-looking approach.

Starting from the work of the founders, enriched by the collaboration with an increasingly expanding and well prepared team, and after implementing strategic changes at corporate level, we are proud to present the CORA of the near future.

Our Team

It is people who make the difference in every situation, and we have been fortunate to meet many who are motivated, honest, and committed. If CORA has become a significant presence across Italy, it is certainly thanks to each of these individuals. People have always been the beating heart of CORA and the first thought of Mauro, who left us in 2008.

Excerpt from the book Coratrentanni (2011)
“We gave voice to Mauro’s thoughts”

Starting my own business? No, it certainly wasn’t in my plans. I didn’t feel the need for it, and besides, I liked being an employee. Where Gianni and I worked, things weren’t bad at all, and above all we had the opportunity to experiment a lot. If I had to imagine myself in another role, I might have liked to become a teacher of some technical subject or to work in a team on an innovative project.
However, when in 1981 Gianni made his proposal to me, quite insistently, aware that there wasn’t much future where we were, I decided it might be interesting to work in our own company—or at least that I could give it a try.
During that time we made plans, discussed, and dreamed together, and then we set off. I have always been a little allergic to mediocre results, so from that moment on I threw myself headfirst into this adventure called Cora, trying to bring out the best in myself and in others. Despite the difficulties—which were never lacking—with patience and a spirit of sacrifice we moved forward.
And we did well! I can say that Cora’s journey brought me not only obstacles to overcome, but also personal satisfaction, rewards, and many demonstrations of appreciation from numerous people. Through work I also built deep and sincere friendships.

After all, I always tell my children: the most important thing in the world is human relationships. This is true at work, but also in life for me. People intrigue me, they fascinate me, each with their own uniqueness. I am drawn to those who are very different from me, whether in background, skills, or expertise. I love talking with those who can teach me something, and I enjoy exploring topics I know little or nothing about, just as much as those that are part of my everyday work.
I am curious, I like to go deeper into things, and so I often find myself talking about technology or philosophy, depending on who I am speaking with. I believe that my curiosity and my interest in new developments have helped me in my work at CORA. They pushed me to take extra steps and to always look toward the future, constantly creating new projects. This is how the systems unit was born at CORA, one of my projects brought to life, along with an important commercial department for automation. These developments gave CORA its current identity—no longer a small artisan company, but an industry with unique characteristics in the local territory.
CORA’s professionalism is the result of a strong work ethic and careful training of people, where human relationships hold the same importance as the company’s business interests.
